 Warwick Castle
We had the pleasure of visiting here, and our information is based on our personal experiences We took some photos of this location that we'd like to share with you

Warwick Castle The first castle here was erected by William the Conqueror, though nothing but the mound remains. The present castle was begun after Simon de Montfort's troops leveled the old one in 1264. Curtain walls, portcullis, and murder holes. Appropriately dismal dungeon, and a haunted room where murder was done. Fascinating "Edwardian Weekend" house party tableau by Madame Tussaud's in the updated living quarters.

 Wigmore Castle

An 11th century castle that later saw use as a prison, Wigmore is a striking medieval fortress in the Welsh Marches of Herefordshire, that lies buried aup to one story deep by rubble and earth. Wigmore was built sometime in the 11th century, but who the builder was is a bit of an historical mystery. Tradition says that the castle was the work of a nobleman by the name of Eric the Wild. However, the Domesday Book of 1086 attributes the castle to William fitz Osbern.
