200 grams sifted flour
200 grams butter room temp
50 grams castor sugar
You can add any extra ingrediants eg chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar till soft and creamy.

Add sifted flour and mix till all incoperated.

Roll into a dough and refridgerate in cling film for 30 minutes.

Grease baking tray with butter.

Sprinkle flour on table surface and roll out dough to 1and a half cm thick.

With any cutter cut out shortbreads and place onto tray.

Bake for 20_25 minutes until the shortbreads are soft to touch.

Sprinkle with generous amount of castor sugar. Wait till cool to eat.

Comments: This is melt in the mouth buttery and moist. Hint: Take shortbread out just before you think they are done. This ensures a moist texture
