Wark Castle
Wark on Tyne, Northumberland, England, NE48 3LS An 12th century motte and bailey fortification, probably built by the Earl of Northumberland in 1139. A subsequent castle replaced that early one in 1165. There is little remaining beyond the motte, and farm buildings now stand on the site. Weeting Castle
Weeting, Norfolk, England A 12th century moated manor house built by the De Plaiz family. The site was first occupied in the late 10th or early 11th century, but around 1180 the De Plaiz family constructed a fortified manor house within a rectangular moat enclosure.
