  Cwmmau Farmhouse
  

Cwmmau Farmhouse An early 17th century timber-framed farmhouse and farm buildings, an excellent example of a vernacular 'black-and-white' building. The farmhouse was rescued from deriliction by the owner, who bequeathed it to the National Trust in 1965, with a wish that it be preserved for the nation as an example of a typical Welsh farmhouse building (even though the farm is actually across the border in Herefordshire).

A restored 18th century water mill. The mill is unusual in that it was made to be operated by only one man. The current mill replaced an earlier paper mill.
