Folly is part of a 2000 conversion of a 17th century bank barn, and stands alongside the owner's home within 12 acres of woodland and farmland. The first floor entrance to the open plan living room, dining and kitchen areas allows spectacular views of the surrounding country with views of the Pennines. Included in this area are a stone surround living flame gas fire and beams.
The two bedrooms are on the lower floor, one having a double bed, and the second with a single bed and bunks (suitable for children between 6 and 14 years). The bathroom has a power shower over the bath. Other facilities include: full gas central heating, car park, fixed stairgate with cot and high chair on request; colour TV (with digibox), video, DVD, CD player, microwave; cycle store and laundry with coin-operated washing machine, gas dryer and public telephone; games room - table tennis and pool table.
Within the grounds we have separate large grassed areas for outside games and dog walking, a BBQ/patio area and there is an unfenced stream and pond (young children would need supervision). From your cottage you should be able to see deer, hares, red squirrels, and an abundance of birds, including woodpeckers, kingfishers, heron, buzzards and sparrowhawks. One well-behaved dog is welcome - £20 per stay.
