Delightful semi detached cottage on owner’s farm, in Staintondale. Stunning countryside, cosy accommodation with wood burner close to Whitby and Scarborough.

A superb semi-detached property, imaginatively converted from former farm buildings on the owner’s farm, in the charming village of Staintondale, half way between Scarborough and Whitby. Sympathetically restored, this property has been decorated and furnished to a high standard and provides comfortable, cosy accommodation of character, boasting exposed timbers and wonderful country and coastal views. There is pony and llama trekking just down the road and this cottage makes a great place to relax and explore the many delights of the area, including the coastal towns of Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby.

Situated in the National Park there are also numerous walks from the doorstep including the Cleveland Way to name just one.

Wonderful dog friendly accommodation
This was a perfect place for our short break. The cottage was spotlessly clean and wanted for nothing. The wood burning stove was an added bonus which created cosy nights after our days in the wintry weather. There was plenty of room for the two of us and our dog. A lovely peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of Scarborough but within easy reach of both Scarborough and Whitby. It could not have been better - we will definitely be back.

Lovely comfortable cottage
Surprisingly spacious, immaculate, cosy and comfortable little place with everything we needed in a well kept private grounds. We found this the perfect spot to unwind as did our three year old Retreiver.

Perfect cottage!
This is easily our favourite cottage! Seems in the middle of nowhere yet only 7 miles from Scarborough and 12 from Whitby, the cottage is set in extensive grounds overlooking beautiful Moors scenery. Inside it is so cozy, ideal for a couple, although it sleeps 4 two of the bedrooms are more suited to children I think. The cottage has been imaginatively restored from former farm buldings with quaint beams and a lovely wood burning stove, it has a smallish kitchen but one that is really well equipped with everything you could possibly need and no detail has been overlooked. It's dog friendly too which is a bonus, The owners, who live on site, are lovely, so friendly and accommodating. This is our second visit and we hope to return one day.

The cottage was warm and comfortable and the owners (and their wonderful dog Ginny) were very welcoming and friendly. We love the area and hope to be back at Honey Bee Cottage in the future.

What a lovely cottage! The fixtures and fittings were superb; lovely cushions, pottery, pictures, curtains and upholstery. We felt as though we were staying in someone's house. The owner, was very friendly and welcoming. The cottage was well placed for the Cleveland Way and Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. We will definitely go back!
