With easy access to the region’s local attractions, this cottage is an idyllic retreat for romantic couples or small families of up to three people.
Originally built as a hayloft, this property has been lovingly and sympathetically converted to offer accommodation for up to three people. Exposed beams retain some of the cottages original character and the living accommodation has been arranged in an open-plan style to create a spacious and bright feel. Visitors have shared use of the owners garden, which offers ample opportunity for a spot of al fresco dining. The cottage also makes a perfect base in the winter months, being heated by oil central heating and an atmospheric wood-burning stove in the sitting room.

A lovely holiday
We stayed here for a weeks holiday in August. The Hayloft is tucked away behind other buildings but easy to find. The property itself is very spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable as was the three piece suite.
The views at the back are lovely, we had a couple of glorious sunsets to enjoy.
This is not for anyone with mobility problems as access is up an outside staircase, the stairs are uneven but this adds to its charm.
The Hayloft is about 4 to 5 miles outside Pickering, so very near the North York Moors.
All in all a very peaceful, enjoyable break.

This was our second visit to The Hayloft, there was a massive new bathroom suite and lights over the kitchen units. A wonderful view down into Pickering and beyond.

The Hayloft was even better than we expected from looking at pictures before going. We think it was the best accommodation we have had on any of our UK holidays. It was spacious, light and had lovely views. It was everything we could want was in the property.

The Hayloft was home from home, really comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was great, quiet village but near enough to get to lots of places we wanted to visit.
