All very nice and easy parking. Good facilities. Nice and warm upon arrival. Liked the Christmas tree. Good for our needs. Better than a hotel or B&B!

This cottage was set in an ideal location for travelling around the area. We enjoyed returning to the warm and cosy cottage each day after our long walks. There is a bus stop on the A6 just a 5-10 minute walk away. We used the bus several times, leaving the car behind. The owners were always very friendly and helpful too. We would definitely stay here again.

The cottage was really cosy and comfortable - this was our 4th visit and we shall return again and again. The hosts are a lovely couple and really friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful with loads of local walks from the cottage itself as well as further afield. The farm and surrounding area is really peaceful. We love it!

The rural location was wonderful. The Shavings was very cosy and comfortable. Ideal place for peace and quiet. Other places to visit easily accessible. The owners were very friendly and helpful with general advice about the surrounding places to go. Really enjoyed our stay, didn't want to leave. Will definitely be returning and will be highly recommending to friends and family.
