Very clean, cosy and comfortable with a relaxing sitting out area. Nice walks right from the Cottage. It felt like a real home from home. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a truly relaxing break in a lovely Cottage to stay here.

Wonderful Kirkbymoorside was so well placed to explore the Yorkshire moors and the coastal areas. From The Pound it was so easy to walk into town and around the town. Neighbours were all helpful and the local people were friendly. Access to laundry in the cottage was invaluable.

The cottage had everything we could need and was spotless, warm and comfortable. I did a lot of cooking, using great fresh produce from the local shops and farm shops, and was delighted to find every conceivable implement and pan was available. There were numerous walks from the cottage and fantastic places to visit within a short drive. The cottage had a good selection of maps, leaflets and books. We were serenaded at night with hooting Tawny Owls and even saw one sat in a tree close by.

Cottage was lovely and quirky and very clean, everything you needed was provided. Owner left loads of information about places to visit and local walks in the area, plus recommendations for local restaurants and pubs which was very helpful. Loads to do in the area, far more than what we expected. Locals were very friendly. Weather was fabulous too.
