Poor, damp and dirty accommodation
Studio apartment is attached to a house which also has a "small holding" of animals. Parking for one car is on a shared "farmyard drive" which like the footpath to the entrance, the lawn completely covered in chicken droppings. When you arrive back in the dark and open the door the light for the lounge is situated in the kitchen behind a door on the opposite side of the room. The rooms were in need of a good clean, cobwebs everywhere and had obviously been there some time. When you took clothes out of the cupboards and wardrobes they felt damp. The bathroom had mould around the bath trim and the corners of the walls and the ceillings had black mould in evidence. Maybe at one time the accommodation was in good order, but now it is a disgrace. The step up and over the threshold made it impossible to get in and out without treading muck into the room. A dreadful experience

Excellent position with fantastic views from the garden; the lady owner is very nice and helpful. Good pub within a minutes walk well worth a visit dog friendly and good food.

View was lovely
The house was nice. Simple, but perfect for us (a couple and dog) the kitchen is very tiny and basically equipped, we bought a cheese grater from a local shop and left it there for future guests. It's a shame there are no pictures of the bathroom, I nearly didn't book because of that, but the bathroom is actually lovely and spacious. The views are amazing on a nice day! Unfortunately we didn't have brilliant weather but still... the garden is nice and spacious and enclosed so I was confident my dog was safe. The area is lovely with a few nice walks right from the house, and a pub literally across the road! (That let the dog in too, but make sure you ask before going in) We didn't see the owner to talk to once, although they were there during our stay as their car kept coming and going (generally quite late at night :/) They didn't speak to us at all and on arrival we just had a few post it notes with messages on, no welcome pack or local information. I called before our stay to ask about key collection and local vet information, the woman wasn't very friendly on the phone either :/ Warning, the hoover is rubbish, if you have a dog, hoover every day to make cleaning easier at the end of your stay, it took me an hour to hoover the tiny amount of carpet because it was a pretty poor hoover...

The cottage was clean and tidy, and for two people was plenty big enough. The area was very good for walking with very nice views of the countryside. We had a very nice week, thank you.
