RECENT CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Northumberland is a beautiful county and has a great deal to offer. Quince Cottage was ideally located for the coast, The Cheviot Hills and Hadrian's Wall in the South. The cottage was very well presented and the owners couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming.

We wanted a relaxing getaway and the cottage was ideal for us. There is plenty to do on the doorstep if that's what you want. Very clean and deceptively spacious. Would definitely recommend Quince Cottage.

Very well appointed and a great base
Our first time in Northumberland and this was a great place to base ourselves for Hadrian's Wall to Lindisfarne and the coast. It was cosy and very well appointed, with lots of extras to make it feel like home, such as the tea and cake on arrival, the rows of books and DVDs and of course the fire. We needed it even in August. The other thing to recommend this cottage is the village itself. You have everything you need from the paper shops, very well stocked grocer, the butcher, the pub and the pub restaurant. We loved doing the shopping in the morning and having a chat with the very friendly staff. Definitely recommended. Be aware there's no wifi and iffy phone reception, but you can get reception at the pub across the road if you need it.

Lovely, cosy cottage.
I would highly recommend this cosy, well kept cottage. This cottage provided a very high standard of accommodation. The owner provided us with a warm welcome including a freshly baked cake, milk and a bottle of wine. Advice about the cottage and the area was very useful. Highly recommended.
