A beautiful traditional stone built end terraced house, this property has been thoughtfully renovated to a high standard and sleeps up to four people.

A charming stone, end terraced cottage, situated on a hillside in the lovely village of Youlgreave, this lovely property is full of character. The cosy and inviting sitting room, with its dining area, is a comfortable place to relax in after the ‘rigors’ of a busy day’s sightseeing. There are two delightful bedrooms, one double and one adult bunk bedroom with a double on the bottom and a single on the top. They are both beautifully decorated and offer a tranquil haven in which to enjoy a good night’s sleep. The bathroom is elegant, modern and well appointed, outside there is a front patio with furniture and a barbecue and a footpath leads from the cottage to the Bradford Dale Valley bottom. This property is a lovely base from which to explore this wonderful area.

The cottage is cosy and comfortable with a wood burning stove which is delightful on a cold evening. There is a wonderful view over the valley and it is superb dog walking country.

I loved the cosy log fire in the evenings and sitting outside listening to the river which is just below River Cottage. The locals were friendly and the pubs were very welcoming. Overall, this was the very relaxed weekend I needed.

A little hidden gem...
At first it was quite a challenge to find... Now I'm someone who can navigate with maps on long walks across country side no problem but finding the cottage was quite a problem. The directions once we got to the Farmyard Inn and what to do after we got there wasn't very helpful and found it the hard way! its a very steep decent down to the cottage and we had a pram and lots of gear to take down which took a few trips... Being a fit young lad too this still proved a slight challenge! But we managed as it was totally worth it when we got to the cottage, the view is breath taking. You over look the river which you can have a good walk along which I recommend, to see all the rainbow trout in there. So quiet too, might get the odd person walking past down the path but always friendly hello's. The cottage it small and really nice, I'm not tall but had to duck a bit once upstairs but it adds to the character! Stayed in the spare room on the double bed (could certainly do with a new mattress... as the springs are virtually popping out so we laid a duvet on top and slept on that) Plenty of amenities to cook with and great facilities. 3 pubs to choose from in the village and a good few circular walks round there! Would recommend for a quiet and peaceful getaway, very close to bakewell but its driving distance or about an hours walk
