With its oak pegged beams, under floor heating and Aga wood burning stove, the Barn provides a cosy retreat for any couple wishing to enjoy the beauty of the Conwy Valley in independent luxury accommodation. The accommodation consists of a large open plan living room with lounge, kitchen and dining areas. The kitchen has granite worktops and bespoke oak units concealing modern appliances to include touch control hob, conventional oven and microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
The bedroom has a King Size bed and an en-suite shower room with large electronic controlled shower and designer granite vanity unit. Linen and towels are provided. Guests receive a welcome hamper to include bread, milk, butter, eggs and jams for breakfast.
Coffee, tea and sugar are provided. The village pub is only 100metres away with a tea room serving excellent home cooked food most lunchtimes and evenings. The village also has a post office open daily selling fresh produce.
The Barn is equipped with Sky HD TV, DVD player, CD and i-pod player and has WIFI Internet access. It has a good selection of books on local history and walking in the area and a choice of DVDs and board games to play. Situated in over an acre of gardens and surrounded by fields, Llanerch y Felin is a perfect starting point for hillwalking in the Carneddau mountains.
Rowen is only 5 miles from the medieval walled town of Conwy which has excellent road and rail links with the rest of the UK. It is ideally situated for visitors wishing to enjoy both the beautiful mountain scenery of the Snowdonia National Park and the attractions of the North Wales coast. (Additional accommodation can be booked for up to two further people in an annexe of the main house.
The annexe bedroom has a King size bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. The annexe has a separate entrance to the main house and guests staying here have just a 20ft walk to join friends staying in the Barn.) The main house Llanerch y Felin is a grade II* listed Snowdonian farmhouse and the oldest house in Rowen.
It was recently featured in Country Homes and Interiors magazine for its sympathetic restoration and interior decor. The main house has a Garden Room suite which is available for bed and breakfast.
