Garreglwyd is in an area of special scientific interest, in the parish of Rhoscolyn a few miles south of Holyhead, on the north west coast of Anglesey. The house is set in farm grazing land with views of the nearby sea and headland. Elin's Tower RSPB site is a short distance along the coast and there are opportunities for water sports in Trearddur Bay.

There are plenty of opportunities for walking along the coast or in Snowdonia, which is a short car drive across Anglesey.
