Self Catering in Dorset - Charlton Horethorne

Enjoyable weeks stay
4 of us stayed for a week here and all had a thoroughly enjoyable break. The lodge is so peaceful and quiet with everything you need . Well situated to enjoy the whole area and close enough to enjoy the nearest towns in the evenings taxi only £10 each way to Sherborne . Owners always on hand if needed but we had no reason to. All in all a great week and would return if in area again.

Peaceful and very Private
Although we had read the descriptions and reviews of the lodge before booking once we arrived we were impressed with how well equipped and presented it was. The lodge is immaculately clean, very comfortable and quiet. We made good use of the sitting out area on the patio at the back of the lodge which was secluded and private and just right for catching the late afternoon sun. One small point for people taking pets is that although enclosed the garden is not secure. Everyone we met on the farm and in the village made us feel very welcome and we would not hesitate to book again should we return to the area.

Loved the lodge, the decor and the peaceful country setting. A good location to explore both Somerset and Dorset combining coast and city days out. The owner was also friendly.

A lovely lodge in an immaculate setting with very friendly & helpful owners. There are several National Trust properties in easy reach, and great walks for the dog.

This cottage was very well taken care of. It is in a good position for visiting Dorset and Somerset. The cottage was very suitable for our dog.
