Unforgettable stay. Indescribably beautiful cottage with postcard views.
Imagine waking up every morning to the soft bleating of sheep, sitting on a bench outside overlooking a green valley with a coffee or tea in hand, with a view of Loch Ness to your left and a mountain ahead in the distance. That is what we experienced every day on our vacation in July, 2016. The cottage itself is beautiful inside and out. As a family of six (four kids aged 10 through 16) we would gather in the kitchen in the morning and in the living room in the evening, after watching the sunlight fade and the lights go on in the valley below. The rooms are very comfortable, the cottage was extremely clean and inviting, and it had everything we needed. East Balchraggan cottage is located within easy driving distance to Isle of Skye, Ullapool, Inverness, and other gorgeous locations, cities and attractions. It sits on a hill overlooking the town of Drumnadrochit and the picturesque Loch Ness. The road up to the cottage winds through the trees. It is an enjoyable ride in itself. Half of it is paved, the other half is unpaved, but we had no problem driving it, even with our Ford S-Max minivan loaded with 4 kids and luggage. Take it slowly and you?ll be fine. And the cottage, the scenery, and the experience make it all worthwhile.

The Cottage is in an idyllic setting, extremely beautiful. The view of Loch Ness is gorgeous and the Cottage itself was cozy, welcoming and peaceful.

We truly enjoyed our week at the cottage. The host was very helpful and the kitchen and baths were in very good order and well supplied. The view of Loch Ness and the ambience were absolutely fantastic! Had a wonderfully relaxing week.
Ms Volmar

The owner was very welcoming and happy to help. The cottage has beautiful views over Drumnadrochit and even with the low temperatures and snow the rooms felt warm and cosy. We hope to be able to stay here again in the future.
Mr Roberts

Absolutely loved this cottage and the views were stunning. The owners were lovely and our children enjoyed seeing all the animals. Looking in to booking for next year but to stay longer than three nights.
