RECENT CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Excellent holiday accommodation, we enjoyed a very relaxing week in The Barn. The location is ideal for investigating the local area, the conversion of The Barn has been carried out to a high standard and the owners were very friendly and helpful.

Disappointing, blocked views
We stay in self catering properties every year for an annual 1 week holiday and feel able to review property fairly. Unfortunately the website photographs through agent Skyes Cottages are very deceiving! The photos are taken at angle to give you the impression you have outstanding views - this is definitely not the case. From the lounge double doors you are looking on to the conservatory of the property in front, only a few feet away, and the view from the kitchen overlooks the shed. If you are wanting cosy basic furnishings then this is the place for you, but if you like luxury, definitely not. No bedside table on one side of the bed and the bedside lamps, which are fitted to the wall, are too far from the bed and have to get out of bed to turn them off. Had to move side lamps from lounge and adapt chair to bedside table. Towels are not proper bath towel size. Not coffee side tables if you are sitting at one of the couches. On the upside, owners very accommodating to organising a non-allergy duvet due to feather intolerance. Cows in field right outside bedroom and bathroom Windows, which although lovely, does bring lots of flies. Property more for walkers. 3* accommodation.

The simple converted barn was ideally suited to our needs in terms of its location and in what it provided. We particularly welcomed the generously-sized rooms, the unexpectedly high ceilings and the two very comfortable sofas. Moreover, all the appliances were in tip-top working order and easy to use.

Very comfortable and well equipped barn. Warm and cosy. Big bathroom with the luxury of both a bath and a shower. Wonderful views from the windows of the property and friendly and helpful hosts.

Remote location, cottage had lots of character. Stone walls, exposed beams, log fire and walks from the door.
