Perfectly located comfortable cottage
This was the first time we, as a family, had booked a cottage to stay in for our holidays and we were delighted when we arrived to see it had exceeded our expectations. We were a couple with our two 'children' of 16 and 19 in tow. They had the rooms on the first floor and we took the room on the ground floor with the en-suite. The en-suite was a bit tight and I much preferred using the bathroom upstairs but it was a handy back-up when the others were hogging the bathroom.
The owners have really thought of everything, with huge soft towels in each room, bread, cake and milk in the kitchen and everything you'd need to have a comfortable stay.
Dunvegan itself is ideal for Skye, sitting close enough to Portree that the 22 mile drive isn't a trial. Whilst you will find that the shops in Duinvegan can keep you stocked, I would still make a trip to Portree to the large Co-op on the outskirts of town at the start of your break.
We found our-self about an hour from the likes of Quirang and the Fairie Pools and only a couple of minutes drive from Dunvegan Castle with it's seal spotting tours
I'd highly recommend the cottage itself. We felt at home straight away and could easily have moved in permanently...my wife had suggested it :)

Exceptional
This property is without doubt one of the best we have experienced, it actually says what it says on the tin !. The owners show an obvious pride in the property and its family history. We had a wonderful relaxing week there, one fault though, we had to leave !

Wonderful, relaxing holiday in a fabulous cottage.
Travelled with grown up family members. Cottage was spotless and amenities excellent. In a great location. We spent most nights outside looking at the scenery and watching the local wildlife. A couple of nights we watched owls swooping over the adjacent field and enjoyed the acrobatics of the local bats. A visit to Tallisker Distillery is highly recommended and we had a fabulous langoustine and chips at The Oyster Shed. The scenery at Neist Point is breathtaking. We all fell in love with the Isle of Skye and will definitely be visiting again.

A wonderful cottage, the attention to detail by the owner is outstanding; all quality cutlery, crockery, pans, all designer/high end - amazing. The owners were exceptional hosts, welcoming their guests so warmly. A wonderful family owned home that made you feel like you could treat it as your own!
