Liked the location of the properly, very close to Whitby and yet feels far away from the crowd and the city noise. The cottage was well maintained and clean. The bedrooms were spacious enough. The bathroom was spacious as well with a shower room included.

We really enjoyed our stay in Holme Cottage. Very idyllic and cosy. Close enough to Whitby in the country side. Very welcoming arrival and thanks to the owner she was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for the May Day BH weekend witt our two labradors. We wanted a location close to Runswick Bay as teh dogs ( and us ) love it there. It is a small cottage that does sleep four but it would have been a bit of a squash in the kitchen. Nice stable door from the kitchen to a safe, small clean courtyard at the front. There is no back door. There is a bedroom on the 1st floor and a bathroom and a larger more airey room on the 2nd floor with a fantasticly comfy big bed. The stairs are quite narrow and on a turn to get up there. The lounge is lovely with a wood burning stove, throws to protect the furniture if dogs do go on the settees-ours didnot go on. There was tea, coffe, milk , cake, biscuits and fresh free range eggs waiting for us which was a wonderful surprise. Although there are no shops in walking distance, you couldn't be any closer to a pub-right next door , but very quiet. There is parking for 1 car which can be a bit of a squeeze if the pub is busy. The interior design and little touches make the place feel really homely and comfortable. I was it was mine !! I would definetely stay there again and recommend it.

Holme Cottage is a lovely, cosy cottage, ideal location for exploring the nearby coast. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

The cottage was beautifully decorated, the beds very comfortable and the kitchen fully stocked with utensils, crockery etc. The cottage was very warm and cosy. I would certainly go back and recommend it to friends and family.
