Had a lovely weeks holiday with Family here. Beautiful location in lovely setting. Grant the owner was extremely helpful with anything we needed help with and couldn't do enough for us. House was well presented and clean. Couldn't really fault anything although the WiFi signal could do with boosting. Great base for exploring the local area. Would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone and would stay here again.

Very spacious modern house in the quiet countryside, but in easy reach of all amenities in Kidderminster. Fantastic views from the property. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Lots to see and do in the area. Highly recommended.

We booked Park View Lodge for our family holiday for several reasons. The good reviews on were a deciding factor. However, two days before the start of our holiday we were browsing Trip Advisor and we noticed 2 very negative reviews for Park View Lodge. This did cause us some concern. Nevertheless we decided to approach the holiday with an open mind. We stayed for the week after Easter and on arrival the owners met us and we found them to be welcoming and helpful. They had put logs on the fire two hours before we arrived and the heating was switched on. This made us feel comfortable and relaxed immediately. The cottage is very spacious. The main living room is huge and there is a sizeable dining room, but for meal times the kitchen was adequate with a good size table to gather round. The owners have been hiring out their cottage for only two years. They live in the other half of the cottage. They said they were happy to be offered constructive comments as they want to be able to continue providing good service. All the appliances you would expect were present; dishwasher, microwave, a fridge and fridge freezer, cooker and TV with full Sky package including all the movie channels. There was wear and tear on some of the appliances but they were all in full working order. The Wi-Fi signal was intermittent. Due to the position of the hub next door, the signal was strongest on the side of the house joined to the owners. Also, perhaps a hairdryer would have been good. But these are minor points that did not impact in any way on our enjoyment of the holiday. Throughout our stay, we found the owners to be friendly and helpful. They were particularly kind and understanding when my partner asked them for an unusual favour. But they put themselves out and went that extra mile. I appreciate their empathy and effort to do this for her. The cottage is situated in a very attractive location within a fishery with surrounding lakes, We could wander down to the lakes near the cottage or we could venture further afield and the cottage was stocked with plenty of leaflets and information on local activities and locations. There is a Co op 5 minutes down the road for essentials and also all major supermarkets are just 15 minutes away in Kidderminster. At the end of the holiday the owners returned our full ?200 deposit, We were a party of 9, including 2 teenagers and a toddler so there was a higher than average probability of damage or spillage. Nevertheless there was no problem with the owners returning our full deposit without quibble. We would definitely recommend this cottage to others. I would also like to add that the owners visitors book contained very many positive reviews from happy and satisfied customers.

Large, spacious house with stunning views which should have been ideal for our large group. However our visit was spoilt by the attitude of the owners who live adjacent to the property. On arrival it was very dark and difficult to locate the entrance of the property, some friends in our party got stuck in the mud on the grounds and had to be towed out. The house was freezing cold as the property had been empty for two weeks and the heating was only put on two hours before arrival, it was 3 degrees outside. On our first evening we couldn't eat dinner in the dining room or kitchen as it was too cold. On going to bed the bedding and towels felt damp from the cold. Before eating on our first evening we had to wash all the dinner plates as they were dirty with dried on food. Early Saturday morning there was a power cut which apparently happens often. We had to purchase further fire logs from the owners, however the wood was damp and therefore difficult to light. During the afternoon the owner let himself into the property without informing us or knocking. A female member of a group and a one year old were in the house. He explained that he thought everyone was out! The most disappointing experience was on our departure. We had an inspection of the property which we had left clean and tidy. The owner decided that they would need to take ?80 of our ?200 deposit. We were shocked! We were apparently being charged ?50 for a bedroom blind that had a faulty cord and didn't work the first time it was used. We were also being charged ?30 for a child's faint handprint (grease mark?) that was on a bedroom wall. We were initially told that the whole room would need to be repainted. We accepted that toddlers had stayed in this room and that this was our fault. We were charged ?20 for paint and ?10 for brushes! It took 45 mins to have the rest of our deposit returned to us after refusing to pay for an already faulty or broken blind. The attitude of the owner was abrupt to say the least and a disappointing experience.
