Gorgeous cottage in a beautiful seaside village
Absolutely loved this little cottage, 2 mins from Aberdovey seafront, harbour and beach. Very cosy with both central heating and a wood burner, has a good size fridge/freezer, full size oven, dishwasher and washing machine. Iron and hairdryer provided. Although compact it is more than adequate as a holiday cottage, the bathroom is very small but has a good hot shower, the only thing my husband struggled with was no mirror in front of the sink to shave (there is a mirror but on a different wall.) The rear yard is small and only got the sun in the morning when we were there, it did have a washing line on which was great for drying bits whilst you were out for the day. No parking at the cottage but a permit is provided for the main car park. You can stop outside to unload. We had great weather when we were there, we walked the Roman Road, had fish and chips then sat on the beach and watched the sunset, the next day we walked up to the bandstand then got the train to Tywyn (not much there), walked the Panorama Walk on the ridge of the Happy Valley to the Bearded Lake, drove to the Dolgoch Falls, Dolgellau and onto Barmouth. Did the Wednesday market at Machynlleth then drove to Aberystwyth where we walked from the harbour round to the Cliff Railway up the mountain (amazing views) then back through the town. Also did a day to Aberaeron which is lovely. So many places to visit in a stunning part of Wales. We highly recommend this cottage and you won?t be disappointed if you book to go.

The location of the cottage was excellent; in the centre but not too close to hear any noise at night. It was just a short walk to the excellent beach, cafes and shops. The cottage was just as advertised; very cosy, well equipped to a high standard and very comfortable. Would highly recommend and hope to return again in the future.

Ty Gwyn was warm and cosy and the beds were comfortable. The shower room was small but with a good shower. The owner was helpful. Having a parking permit was useful.
