What a beautiful cottage. The cottage was immaculate and had everything that you could possibly need. We were able to have our breakfast upstairs enjoying not only the warm sunshine streaming in but looking over the fields across from us filled with sheep and their lambs. The beds were lovely and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and airy with a wonderful shower that worked just right every time. The town itself has a lot of 'ramblers' walks. We picked up a brochure near the children's playground which showed all the routes. Many an afternoon was spent following the tracks taking in the natural beauty of the forests and waterfalls. We were able to visit Ayr, caught the train to Glasgow where we saw the majestic St Mungo's Cathedral and nearby Necropolis and had a lovely seafood lunch at the coastal city of Girvan. A truly lovely part of Scotland. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage to all my friends. Thank you so much for a truly memorable stay.

lovely quaint cottage
The cottage was clean and tidy with all amenities we needed for a weeks stay. The woodburning stove was a nice touch, making the lounge especially cosy on the cool autumn evenings. Everyone we spoke to in the village was friendly, somebody even left us some eggs one morning. The owners left us a nice welcome of homemade shortbread biscuits. The local shop is only a minutes walk away as is the Blackbull pub. The pub serves good food at reasonable prices and the staff are very friendly. All in all a lovely cottage in a small friendly village, just right for a relaxing holiday.

This was a delightful cosy cottage with modern facilities.
My husband and I stayed with our young grand-daughter. The place was spotless and cosy; there were plenty of books and games for all ages. Lots of short walks around the village as well as more demanding ones. A village shop and pub, both within a short walking distance, were an asset, especially the fantastic food at the pub. The parking was good and we also had use of the garden.
