Home from home!
Just returned from a stay at the cottage over the Christmas period. The cottage has everything you need for a really comfortable stay, the place has a really warm and cosy feel to it, even though the rooms are a good size. The kitchen was very good, we cooked a full Christmas dinner with ease with all mod cons and gadgets. Good position in the village for 2 quality pubs, serving great food and a small deli over the road. Good walks from the front door including the Old man of Coniston. The cottage next door which is attached, looked equally good as one bedroom place. Brilliant stay would recommend it.

Holiday in The Lakes
We have stayed here 3 years on the trot now and each time it has been lovely. The cottage is perfect, an old railway station with the remains of the platform where we sat to have breakfast/lunch/drinks. Ideal place from which to explore the beautiful Lake District and to return to after a busy day. Cottage is very well appointed and has everything needed, very much a home from home.

The property was roomy and very well appointed and the location was excellent. Despite being on a main road, once in the property and in its lovely garden it was very tranquil and relaxing. We loved seeing the birds and the rabbits in the garden. It was nice being able to go on walks straight from the cottage. The proximity of the two pubs and deli was great.

Good location
Nicely presented cottage with two large bedrooms and plenty of space to spread out. Nicely fitted kitchen with all required facilities .Good sized garden on the old track bed and railway platform . The drive and garden are shared with next door , but it's not really a problem. Very handy for two pubs both of which serve good beer and food. Small deli across the road which is very handy. Very near to Coniston which has all amenities
