Apple Cottage - Halsbeer Farm
Sleeps a maximum of: 1
Pricing From: £275.00 - 700.00
Set within 30 acres of farmland and on the edge of the Blackdown Hills Halsbeer farm is the ideal place from which to explore Devon's picturesque countryside. Either on foot in the neighbouring Blackdown Hills, or by car with historic Honiton and the majestic Jurassic coast but a short drive away. We are family (and dog) friendly and have plenty of facilities for children here at the farm including a 24' heated indoor swimming pool and a well stocked games room.
Younger children can entertain themselves in our enclosed play area with swings and sandpit whilst the young adult of the group can sink into a book or get online with wifi access in each of our properties. All three of our cottages have their own private outdoor space with patio furniture and barbecue facilities. Theres also plenty of other communal space around the farm including our marvellous conservatory which overlooks a large, well stocked pond for duck and moorhen watching.
The conservatory can seat up to twenty people for dinner and is a great sun trap for reading a book well into the evening whereupon you can light the log burner for a little extra comfort. This lovely two bedroom oak beamed cottage would have been the apple store here at Halsbeer farm. Nowadays it's the perfect place for a couple or small family to get a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The downstairs of Apple cottage consists of a large flagstone-floored living area with kitchen and dining facilities and plenty of space to sit back and relax in the peaceful surroundings. The well stocked kitchen is equipped with a washing machine and microwave along with a wide selection of cooking utensils to make you feel at home. Adjoining the property is a private gravelled patio area with a gas barbecue and ample outdoor seating making dining al fresco an enjoyable experience for the whole family.
The first floor of Apple cottage has a double and a single bedroom both furnished to a high standard with stripped pine floors and views across the farm. There is also a bathroom with a shower suite.
