Garden cottage is situated high on the west side of Malvern Hills with far reaching views across the lovely Herefordshire countryside. With the Malvern Hills literally on the doorstep for walkers, the cottage is also the perfect base for exploring the adjoining counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire with the picturesque towns of Ledbury and Malvern close by.
The cottage sleeps five comfortably with a sixth proper single pull out bed for a child available if needed, to make one double room with spacious ensuite shower room, one good sized twin room and one single/small twin room which share a family bathroom. There is also a downstais loo. All beds are provided with best quality White Company duvets, pillows, linen and towels.
The well equipped kitchen has all facilities including dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer, and is all electric with a Smeg cooker and Leibherr larder fridge. An air source heat pump provides underfloor heating and constant hot water, and there are also two woodburners, in the cosy sitting room and in the dining room. The dining room has a seating for six at an antique oak table, and additional seating in the cushion strewn window seat from which lovely views can be enjoyed.
In the sitting room is a digital TV with DVD player, CD and record player, and internet wifi. A wall to ceiling bookcase provides books, music, and board games to enjoy, as well as maps and local information. Outside, through a French door from the sitting room, is the garden with terrace and lawn.
A fitted seat against the cottage wall provides space for relaxing, and there is also a table and chairs for six, and a barbeque. A stile at the end of the lawn gives access to the gardens of Perrycroft, which have featured in House and Garden magazine (Nov 2009). Beyond the garden are stunning walks in all directions, either on to the Hills or into the lush valley below.
Private parking adjacent to the cottage is for two cars. Shops can be found at Ledbury and Malvern, both a 10 minute drive away , with a Waitrose and excellent greengrocers and butchers at Malvern, and a Tesco and several interesting delicatessens at Ledbury, which is also a renowned shopping destination for those seeking unusual gifts and homewares. Local attractions include Malvern Abbey, Malvern Theatres and the Three Counties Showground events, as well as Eastnor Castle and the beautiful surrounding countryside with activities such as mountain biking, horse riding and fishing.
Venturing further into Herefordshire and the Welsh borders will be rewarded by the discovery of its riches of landscape and historic sites. One well behaved dog can be accommodated by arrangement, on the ground floor only. Children welcome.
