Set within 30 acres of farmland and on the edge of the Blackdown Hills Halsbeer farm is the ideal place from which to explore Devon's picturesque countryside. Either on foot in the neighbouring Blackdown Hills, or by car with historic Honiton and the majestic Jurassic coast but a short drive away. Swallow and Apple cottages and Hay Barn used to be an integral part of the working farm and date back to the doomsday book although a lots changed since then.

The cottages have been carefully restored with flagstone floors, oak beams and furnished with beautiful beds and ample furniture. Relax in-front of the tv, get online on your laptop or cook up a storm in our well equipped kitchens or simply relax with a book in the shared conservatory. Swallow cottage has a beautiful open plan living area with panoramic views over the Blackdown Hills and across the duckpond.

It sleeps six comfortably with a large lounge and dining area, wheelchair access and a patio looking over the pond making it the perfect place for a family getaway. The ground floor of Swallow cottage has traditional flag stoned floors and is home to a lounge and seperate kitchen both with patio access and a double bedroom with en-suite shower room. The large L-shaped lounge sits below a huge vaulted ceiling and will seat the whole family comfortably.

It has a lcd tv/dvd and wi-fi access along with a dining table that seats six. The fitted oak kitchen is finished with granite worktops and a double range cooker along with everything else you'll need to make you feel at home whilst preparing food. Swallow has views of the countryside from the lounge across the lawn and a private patio overlooking the duckpond along with barbeque and outside dining facilities.

The first floor houses two large double bedrooms both with 5' four-poster beds, vaulted ceilings and stripped pine floors. Each room has en-suite facilities with roll top baths, one with hand shower and one of the bedrooms also has a balcony with stunning views across the farm. The rooms have been finished in natural tones and furnished to a high standard to provide you with a luxurious and natural place to stay.

We are family (and dog) friendly and have plenty of facilities for children here at the farm including a 24' heated indoor swimming pool and a well stocked games room. Younger children can entertain themselves in our enclosed play area with swings and sandpit whilst the young adult of the group can sink into a book or get online with wifi access. All three of our cottages have their own private outdoor space with patio furniture and barbecue facilities.

Theres also plenty of other communal space around the farm including our marvellous conservatory which overlooks a large, well stocked pond for duck and moorhen watching. The conservatory can seat up to twenty people for dinner and is a great sun trap for reading a book well into the evening whereupon you can light the log burner for a little extra comfort.
