Not 4 ticks as stated on Sykes Cottages website more 2 ticks
This is not 4 ticks accommodation as rated on Sykes Cottages website; it's not a cottage it's a bungalow. According to Sykes Cottages ratings system it should be 2 ticks. Sykes photos are not up to date. When I first walked in, the property smelt fusty and felt damp. I had to open all doors and windows to air the place. There were artificial room scents in each room which only served to mask the damp fusty smells. The bathroom is standard. Both bedrooms have basic furniture and bedding. The double having only 1 bedside table. There's no welcome information. If a property is to provide kitchen equipment then they should ensure they are clean; they were old and dirty. The kitchen sink was left dirty with veg in the plug hole. The front terrace was small with an old rusty bench. The back yard had an old pub style wooden bench. Warm, Comfortable and Cozy stay.
In February my Boyfriend and I visited Sea view Cottage. We booked directly with the owner and the process couldn't have been easier, the owner gave us directions that led us directly to the front door (the drive itself was beautiful). The house was warm and clean when we walked in and the view from the living room window was breathtaking, we had a great night sleep every night, thanks to tiring ourselves out on the long and beautiful coastal walks. Great shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance (literally 4 minutes) and Benllech beach is one of the best I have ever visited. A 10/10 stay and would highly recommend, already planned to re-book first week in July.

Beautiful property in an amazing location
This property was perfect for what we wanted, we travel a lot and have stayed in many different cottages and bed and breakfasts and this was by far on of our favourites. Waking up to an ocean view every morning was amazing, the property was spotless and comfortable and the owner made us feel welcome from the very start (as did Charlie the dog). We were met at the property and picked up the key, immediately we were given advice on the best things to do in the local area. One of our favourite things was the large window that let in tonnes of natural light all day where we could have breakfast and look out to the sea. We brought along Max (our little french bulldog) and he seemed to enjoy himself even more than we did passed out on the decking in the sun. The short walk to the beach took less than 10 minutes and when we arrived there was about two miles of beautiful sandy beach where we spent most of the first day. It was a little chilly but still beautiful. The next day it rained so we went to a beautiful place called Menay Bridge (Definitely recommend) and ate at a place called Dylans, bit pricey but was worth it. Overall an amazing experience and beautiful property, had everything we needed and more, no idea what the other review was about but couldn't have asked for a better stay. Will definitely book again.

Clean, Comfortable, Excellent value for money.
This bungalow is a good sized accommodation and is in a very good location to all shops and amenities having the view of the sea in the distance. We found the bungalow clean on arrival and the description was exactly as expected. This property was excellent value for money and reading previous reviews although some minor adjustments do need amending we would not rate this as a poor property. It would certainly benefit from a hoover,a dvd player and Wi-Fi but in fairness it does not claim in the description to have these facilities. We found the kitchen well stocked, the living room very comfortable and the TV has sky, the bedrooms also were comfortable. We would not hesitate in re-booking this property.

Good location but poor accommodation
Visited early June with young family and dog. The property was in a good location, only a few minutes from the shops and restaurants and about 10 minutes from the lovely beach. Unfortunately the accommodation was not good and probably the poorest we have stayed in. The kitchen was basic with a very old microwave, noisy fridge and minimal amenities with no washing machine which would be expected in a property of this size. We were lucky that the weather was good and didn't need any heating as there was no central heating and the heating was by plug-in electric convector heaters, not wall heaters as advertised. The beds and mattresses need changing as they were so uncomfortable. It accepts dogs but there are no dog facilities like dog bowls provided so take everything. Also no hoover provided which meant it was impossible to keep the property clean of dog fur during the week.
