This terraced cottage in Little Urswick sleeps four people in two bedrooms.

Daffodil Cottage is a terraced cottage in Little Urswick. The cottage has two double bedrooms and a shower room upstairs, while downstairs is a kitchen with dining area, and a sitting room with gas fire. Outside is off road parking for two cars, a front patio and a rear garden with furniture and summerhouse. Daffodil Cottage is a comfy base and well placed for visiting Ulverston or exploring the Lake District National Park.

This cottage is not as described and shows a lack of care for guests.
There is no dining area in the kitchen just a dumping ground for extra chairs, drying rack and vacuum in the bit you cant see on the photos. Lounge is very cramped as has table and two huge dining chairs in front of window, and lighting very poor, needed a torch to read a book. Kitchen bin broken, mattress stained, promised garden furniture inaccesible, rear garden shared with next door cottage not as described and worst of all when we complained the owner took no reponsibility whatsoever. What a shame with a bit of care it could be lovely.

Cosy Cottage but needs a few small tweaks
This property is suitable for dog owners, able bodied adults only. The first 3 steps on the stairs are spiral, and open no banister on right hand side (going up) On using the shower the floor got soaked due to the direction and placement of the shower. The kitchen was a very good size. Table in dining room/sitting room was suitable for 2 people. There is parking at the property but this is best used for smaller cars, as it is extremely tight partly due to a post at the entrance to the parking space. There is a small summerhouse/shed at the end of the garden but this was locked. There is no furniture to sit outside, which would make the most of the garden. There is a book of instructions for using the utilities provided. However no mention of how the microwave works. The garden is only enclosed by a large compost heap. However there are several gates to the property and on one occasion someone visited the property while we were out and left the gate open, hence we nearly lost our dog as we did not think to check that the gates were all closed. In addition there is a badly cracked pathway between the garden and house. My husband went over on the drain, which has a slate over the top. Contact numbers are provided however there is no way to use these from the house as there is no signal for mobiles and I could not access the Password for internet as this has not been left by the owners. Please read the visitor book for the Password. The freezer/fridge was large but really needed a clean. There is good Television reception.

A nice well maintained and appointed cottage in a small village. It had a generous sized double bedroom. Would definitely recommend to anybody wishing to visit area.

We had a wonderful stay at Daffodil Cottage, could not have been better. Had modern clean furnishings and bed linen, and a super shower. In a quiet location with friendly helpful neighbours. We would stay here again.
