Lovely house & situation, would return. Great to be opposite the pool, which was used at least twice a day. We also loved wandering the estate & exploring the shores of Lake Windermere. A great week, lovely house & situation, would return.

Great Family Holiday House
We have stayed at Eel House for the last ca. 10 years. It is a great place for a family get together -the house is well equipped with an ideal layout for a family reunion. The kids love to swim and the pool is just opposite so they went swimming in the morning and again in the afternoon-great. The pool is now much warmer than it has been in the past! It is always very nice to have a ready supply (free) of logs for the wood-burning stove-very cosy. Previously, we had a dog and the property/surroundings are very dog friendly. Also, towels/soap are now provided but were not in the past. Altogether a fantastic place to stay, especially when the weather is good.
