This beautiful, Georgian holiday property in Ramsgate sleeps twelve people in six bedrooms.

The Old Surgery is a superb, terraced cottage set in a stunning area overlooking the harbour and sea. With six bedrooms (one with an en-suite) and the accommodation across five floors, the property can sleep twelve people. There's also a bathroom and a shower room along with two cloakrooms, a ground floor games room, boot room, a first floor sitting room (seating 9) with woodburner and three sets of French doors to the balcony with furniture. There's also a first floor kitchen with dining area, and utility room. Outside, there is off road parking for two cars plus an enclosed courtyard garden with furniture. The Old Surgery is a superb, Georgian holiday property, close to the beach, harbour and amenities of Ramsgate.

The old surgery has oodles of character, my kids loved the dinner bell and the whacky game selection!! The accommodation is set over several floors and is great fun. Everything was clean and comfortable. My husband and I particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the boats with a glass of wine in hand. Ramsgate offered us loads of entertainment, from shrimping to beach walks and even the odd bit of fishing. Old Kentish Meat sausage rolls are a must.

I stayed here with a group of golfers, ideally located to access some of the best links courses in the UK. Royal St Georges, Princes and Royal Cinque Ports. The house was perfect for our needs as a large group of golfers - loads of space, easy access to town in the evenings, games rooms to carry on the competition from the days golf, large lounge with TV including Sky sports, spacious fully equipped kitchen diner and outside area with BBQ. The owner was charming and was very helpful with where to park as it can get busy. For a group of guys wanting a base to do a tour of Kents best courses it ticked all the boxes. Im looking forward to our next visit in 2019 !

Appalling, where do we start.... Every year a large group of us & associated families take a weeks break - great locations such as Abersoch, Salcombe, Aldeburgh - great locations and always terrific houses. I wouldn't say we are pedantic but the properties we stay in are always selected carefully - location, facilities, quality and appearance and with this property we felt we had carried out the level of diligence required to be happy with our choice (very selective internal photos have been used!!) , however... and in no particular order. Hall & stairs - probably the best part of the property - looked good, decorated, original features and new carpets. Kitchen/Dining area - a disgrace - if anyone has ever taken on a renovation project then this is it prior to any work being carried out - half painted ceilings, cables hanging from the walls, cupboards loose, work tops damaged, fridges not working, ovens not working, poor levels of kitchen implements, Christmas decs still up?? - Student 'digs' sums it up!! Lounge - stained ceiling from leaks, cables hanging out the walls, poor furniture - one sofa actually only had 3 legs? Bathrooms - they look like they were updated maybe in the last 10 years so weren't too bad however the en suite shower was stuck on 'very hot'. Bedrooms - all very tired, carpet threadbare, blinds not working, curtains poor.. Heating - many radiators in bedrooms were stuck on very hot and totally unbearable meaning some of our children could not sleep in the rooms. Outside area - akin to a poor quality pub yard Games room - we use the term loosely as the Dart board had been removed and the owner had replaced it with a sarcastic, patronising and childish note - effectively stating that due to other guests misusing it they had removed it - in our view it was simply a pathetic response to an easily resolvable issue. Cleanliness - Any cleaner had obviously entered the property and decided it was 'too big a job' and swiftly left? The tops of kitchen cupboards had random items on them, cupboards throughout the house were full of either rubbish or again random items, it was the worst I have ever seen. Bedding - we don't think any of it had been washed !! Lighting - many spots not working throughout the house, in one room 1 out of 6 were working!! On the whole it was horrendous, if we thought the owner would consider a refund then we would pursue it but given the lack of warmth from them in the first instance, perceived sarcasm and patronisation plus the state of the property we would doubt anything would be forthcoming. Our advice - take it off the holiday rental market resolve all the issues and then put it back on as it appears to be an ongoing restoration project and not suitable for a holiday property.

Excellent accommodation that perfectly suited all our needs. Very child friendly and very well equipped kitchen with good facilities for dinning. The house is very spacious, well laid out and beautifully decorated.

The Old Surgery is a fantastic property with great views of the harbour to the front. The house has so much space, catering easily for two families and two dogs. It is within walking distance of town where we made use of various pubs, takeaways and shops, and also the beach where we went most days. We were very sad to say goodbye to the house and location.
