This is a lovely cottage, perfect for getting away from it all. Its situated near the beautiful moors with lots of walks which is what we were looking for. The facilities include wi fi which was a great help when you have teenagers, with old fashioned board games in the evening whilst they could still keep in touch with their friends, they must have enjoyed it because they've requested to go back this year. The village is really quiet, there's a beautiful duck pond to sit by opposite the very friendly country pub. As I say we're going back this year so you can't get a better recommendation than that.

cosy cottage set in beautiful village not far from Whitby
we stayed in edgemoor cottage in May 2014 . A Cosy cottage which sleeps 4 and also your four legged friends! Our dog loved nothing more than curling up in front of the massive log burning stove after a busy day on the beach .whitby is about a forty minute drive away or you can take a twenty minute walk through the fields to the levisham station. From there you can travel to Whitby on the North Yorkshire moors railway which also takes you through Goathland where Heartbeat is filmed .You can get off the train and have a look around Before catching the next train on to Whitby if you wish . A cosy cottage set in a beautiful location , a excellent base to explore the Yorkshire moors Will definitely be staying again

A lovely cottage with great facilities and well placed for touring North Yorkshire. The shower was amazing and the bedrooms were cosy. The owners were very helpful and enthusiastic about their lovely property. Nothing was too much trouble.
