Restful
Has lovely uninterrupted views over the countryside. The property has been furnished to a high standard, with very comfortable large beds in both rooms. Very clean, the usual essentials were supplied and some lovely little extras which were appreciated. The approach to this property is down a long lane that is quite bumpy. The only downsides were there was no freezer just the freezer compartment at the top of the fridge but we worked round that. The kitchen could do with a few more essentials, for example more cutlery and chopping knives.

Nice from the outside
My husband and I stayed here at the start of the month with our 1 year old son. I was so excited for this trip as hubby had just came home from deployment so we really needed a good bit of family time. Struggled to find the cottage as directions aren't great. Finally arrived at the cottage and on first opinions we joked that I'd end up in labour due to the single track up to the house being in such a bad state but the cottage looked lovely finally inside we thought first glance it was absolutely beautiful although definitely not child friendly in the slightest be we thought no problem we can do this. The fire in the cottage hadn't been cleaned out from the last people but there was also nowhere to dispose of the ashes and on checking the wood for the fire most of it wasn't useable as it had rusty nails hanging out of it. It felt really cold in the cottage and on checking it was only 16 degree's so I searched the information packet to discover you have no control of the heating or hot water. My poor 1 year old was frozen the first night until I managed to warm the place slightly boosting the bathroom towel rails and leaving all the doors open. By day 4 the house began to smell from the drain in the kitchen and everytime I went to use the bin the smell nearly made me sick so hubby investigated in the bin to discover the whole bin was full of mold at the bottom and at this point we also discovered we had no hot water at all. Hubby and I agree this cottage looks like the owners put alot of work in to it when it was built but unfortunately haven't done a thing to it since meaning skirting boards are falling off flooring by the dinning table is dangerous the bathroom needs re-grouting and nearly every wall/ceiling has massive cracks that needed taking care of. Kitchen is basic and needs some new pieces likes of a chopping board as old one was furry. It's right next to a working farm but this didn't bother us. Unfortunately there wasn't any safe ground for our child to play so ended up paying to park in the village most days so he could play in the local park and burn some energy off. Sadly for us this holiday wast as relaxing as we had hoped and for the first time ever we were glad to be going home. The plus side is that the bed was extremely comfortable.

Really relaxing
We have just come back from a weekend at this cottage. We were desperately in need of some time out and to recharge our batteries and we couldn't have found a better place. The cottage is really peaceful with amazing views - a fantastic place to just sit back with a cup of coffee and relax. The owner was lovely and around if we needed anything and there was a lovely welcome tray including a few essentials to get us going. We didn't go very far but there are plenty of places to eat close by although the cottage had everything you might need if you decide to cook there. We will definitely be back.
