RECENT CUSTOMER REVIEWS

The owners living next door was very reassuring and on arrival we were shown how the heating worked and made welcome. There were plenty of white towels and pristine bedding, the kitchen was fully equipped and the WiFi worked well. The view from the living room and bedroom was stunning. In an excellent location and there was plenty of parking. Highly recommended.

Lovely place, fantastic views,
Stayed as a family with our dog in the summer holidays, the apartment is well equipped and feels very airy whilst being homely. It made a great base to explore the forest of Dean and surrounding areas. Lydney town is a short walk down the hill whilst the harbour is a short drive (or catch the steam train). Michael was very helpful and made us feel at home.

Beautiful home from home.
Our stay at The Stable Apartment in Highbury House has been wonderful. Michael, the owner, has been really helpful when we've needed him. The place is beautifully furnished, very homely with nice decorative touches here and there. It was spotlessly clean and tidy when we arrived, and has been a comfortable base for our family holiday. There is plenty of storage space, a fully equipped kitchen, and the beds are extremely comfortable, with very good quality linen. The location itself is wonderful, far enough away from the main town to feel quite secluded but with a tesco located conveniently close. It's also very close to lots of family attractions, which have made this holiday very special. My only worry was the lack of pavement on the main road outside the property, which made it difficult to walk from Highbury House to the town centre with a pushchair. Overall we're very happy with our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends, and if we ever come to the Forest of Dean again, this would be our first choice.

We had a great short stay. The accommodation was lovely and just what we had been looking for. It was important that we were able to take our dogs with us and the owners were very welcoming. The apartment is very well situated in terms of being close to plenty of activity but also out of the main towns.
