Update
It was dirty. We told sykes. We asked for that information not to be made known to the world. We loved everything else about it and hoped to stay again. We were refused another booking because we were a dog too many. A 9 kg rescue. We are clean people and we leave premises clean. Our kindness has been thrown back in our face.

lovely
Stayed here in 17 when it was incredibly cold and snowy. Brilliant. The chalet was warm and cosy with fantastic mountain views and with snow on the glass roof it added to the winter wonderland atmosphere of Aviemore at its best. Lots of wildlife in the garden.2 minute walk to pubs, shops etc but a quiet location.Personally prefer a bath so a shower is not ideal but the bathroom was warm. Wanted to book again but the week we wanted was already taken. Would most definitely stay again.

Unclean
Bathroom filthy and clearly hadn?t been properly cleaned for some time: shower drain blocked with hair and thick brown slime, dirty toilet, stinking toilet brush full of foul water, grimy floor. Dealt with this ourselves, but couldn?t enjoy rest of holiday because mattresses so poor, particularly on double bed. Should have been changed years ago. Two basics I expect from a holiday property: cleanliness and decent beds, both absent here. Aviemore is such a popular location I assume that demand outstrips supply and there isn?t pressure to improve such accommodation, which is a shame given it's beautiful location and potential.

Excellent location in beautiful surroundings. More than adequate for our weeks holiday.
Very good lodge in a fab location. Kitchen excellent with all dishes, pots and utensils, cloths etc you would need. Cooker, fridge and dishwasher all clean and easy to use. Bathroom had large walk in shower (was needing the grout renewed) and the sink looked to be new although the toilet seat had to be fixed by my husband on 2 occasions but I did mention this and am confident it will be repaired. The master bedroom ginormous and opens out onto the lovely garden. Upstairs was fab, our children loved the whole wooden theme and the doors opening onto balcony (few rotten slats of wood so be careful) and their bedroom was fine. We kept our bikes safe and dry under the balcony outside our bedroom which was great and you are able to play in the large garden at rear. Property only few minutes walk from the centre of Aviemore and 2 mins from cycle track. All in all we had great time and would re book this property.

Lovely relaxing break
We arrived at the chalet on Friday afternoon, and were not disappointed, it is clean and spacious and has everything you would need for a break away, dishwasher, washing machine etc The kitchen is very well equipt, the shower room / bathroom has the added touch of underfloor heating which is lovely. There is a very spacious bedroom/ family room, with a double bed and a single bed and a handy table to sit at and enjoy the beautiful view of the garden. Upstairs there is a further twin bedroom and a lovely lounge with the most spectacular view of the snow capped mountains which can also be enjoyed from the large decked balcony. We had taken our two dogs with us as the cabin is dog friendly, from the bottom of the garden there is a nice walk along the river which we all enjoyed. Aviemore has plenty shops, cafes and restaurants which are minutes walk from the cabin, We were sad to leave and are already planning another break at this lovely holiday rental.
