Mill House is a pretty 200-year-old detached stone cottage with character - exposed beams, oak stable doors, a real fire in an inglenook hearth - and fibreoptic wifi! A real gem to get away from it all, ideal for romantic breaks or family fun! There's a secure and enclosed balcony and patio which (like all rooms) enjoy riverside views. A great base for exploring the stunning Brecon Beacons area. New cedar wood hot tub installed in 2017! A 'welcome pack' with milk, coffee, tea, sugar, Welsh biscuits or cake, (and wine for week-long stays) is provided free of charge.

A starter pack of logs is provided free of charge. Additional logs are available at local petrol stations, supermarkets and hardware stores. Bed linen, bath / hand towels and guest soap are all provided.

Umbrellas, walking sticks, binoculars, torch, walking books and leaflets on activities in the local area are all provided for use during your stay - please remember to leave them on departure! Well-equipped kitchen includes oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer, toaster, sink and drainer units. Landline phone available with 'honesty box'. Iron, ironing board and airer provided.

Hair dryer provided. There is a large 42 inch smart TV with Freesat, which provides access to a host of free TV channels. If you have subscriptions to Netflix, Amazon Prime etc you can also login to download movies from your account.

A Blu Ray / DVD player, internet radio and board games are also provided. Guests are deemed to have accepted the Hot Tub Terms of Use (provided in the cottage) if they choose to use the hot tub during their stay. 1 double bedroom and 2 single bedrooms (one with ensuite).

Additional foldable bed available for additional guest. The cottage is in a small hamlet 5 miles north of Brecon, surrounded by wonderful views of the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains. Lots of lovely walks direct from the door.

The area is stunning and ideal for bird watching, trips along the canal, red kite feeding, horse riding, waterfall visits, cycling and mountain biking. The rivers Wye and Usk flow nearby with their tributaries offering a large choice of fishing beats. Outdoor centres nearby offer activities including canoeing, boating, caving and rock climbing.

Guest information packs in the cottage cover local amenities, activities and walks, there is an excellent Tourist Information Centre next to Morrrison's supermarket in Brecon, and the main Beacons National Park visitors' centre is a short drive away. There are plenty of local pubs and restaurants selling good quality local food and drink to sample too! Please note there is a ?25 cleaning charge per booking in addition to the quoted price. Payments by paypal preferred.

Two dogs allowed free. Please note that the house rules will be forwarded to the lead guest after booking: these must be adhered to or additional charges will be incurred. Strictly non smoking and no parties.
