The small market town of Launceston, with its Norman Castle, is under a mile away and other attractions in the area include the Launceston Steam Railway, Tamar Otter Park, and Trethorne Farm Leisure Park. The rugged North Cornish Coast, with its hidden coves and fine beaches, is about 30 minutes away by car. Both Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are within 15 miles along with a rich variety of interesting towns/villages.
