This property sleeps up to 6. Kiln Cottage is comfortably furnished and offers lounge/diner with double sofa bed, well-equipped modern kitchen, downstairs w.c. Stairs leading to 2 twin bedded rooms, large bathroom with electric shower over bath, washbasin and wc. Parking for 2 cars.

A delightful canalside cottage close to the Cumbrian border, ideally located to explore the surrounding area and coast, or visit the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Forest of Bowland National Parks, which are all within a 25 minute drive.

Morecambe Bay is renowned for birdwatching and the RSPB reserve at Leighton moss is 7 miles away, situated in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Being on the doorstep of the three National Parks, the cottage provides an ideal base for touring and walking. Coast within a mile.

There are many good golf courses locally and fishing is available on the River Lune nearby.

"Kiln Cottage", as the name suggests, is part of a former Malt Kiln dating back over 200 years and is situated adjacent to the picturesque Lancaster Canal. Colourful narrowboats pass the door, together with swans, ducks and moorhens, while the towpath provides opportunities for walking and cycling.

A short stroll along the canal towpath brings you to the village, where you will find the post office, general store, butcher, newsagent, churches and a couple of pubs.
