Beckleshele is a superior cottage set off the beaten track in a remote location 1400' up in the moorlands of upper Weardale in the North Penine Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Beckleshele is situated close to the Weardale Way and is an ideal base for those wishing to explore the many walks of watch the varied bird life. It is conveniently situated to visit Durham City, Killhope Lead Mining Centre, the Lake District, Hexham and Hadrians Wall.

We live next door to the cottage and look forward to meeting you and sharing with you Weardale - a place where you can stretch your legs, spread your wings, explore one of our finest landscapes or just chill out and enjoy the tranquility.
