This cottage offers 1 double bedroom, bathroom, living area with double sofa-bed, dining table and kitchenette. The sitting room with dining facilities and a small kitchen adjoining, are all recently re-equipped and furnished. The bedroom contains a double bed with furnishings all recently renewed and a large walk in cupboard.

Waulkmill cottage is a modernised semi detached country cottage in Glendaruel near to the Kyles of Bute. It lies in a garden setting between the river Ruel, the Cowal walkway and the road to Tighnabruaich.

The area has many visitor attractions especially if your interests lie in walking, fishing, sailing or golf. The Kyles of Bute (narrow stretch of water between the Island of Bute and the mainland) is renowned for its scenery and attracts many sailing boats in a summer. The ferry at Colintraive (15 minutes away) takes cars and passengers to the Island of Bute. The ferry at Portavadie (30 minutes away) connects to Tarbert and Kintyre. Inverary with its castle jail and courthouse is 45 minutes away and well worth a visit. Dunoon, 30 minutes distant provides ferry links across the Clyde to Gourock and nearby are the Benmore gardens with their famous arboretum.

Shopping may be done in Dunoon, Rothesay or Tighnabruaich and butchers and fishmongers vans call regularly.

The Cowal walkway from Portavadie on loch Fyne to Ardgarten on loch Long is a challenge, while walking in the surrounding hills provides views of Glendaruel, Arran and the Hebrides.
