Stowe Landscape Garden, Temple of British Worthies, John Barnard.
Starting from the southern end of the Temple of British Worthies we first find the statue of Sir John Barnard. One of the fascinating things about the Temple of British Worthies is who is included (and excluded). While most of the 'worthies' will be familiar to modern visitors, some, like Barnard, may cause some head-scratching.
