Cheriton House is a large Victorian country house 150 yards from the river in a picturesque village, just 20/25 minutes from Cambridge. Now an award winning bed and breakfast run by Liz and Chris Langley, you are assured of a warm welcome with friendly and efficient service and a helpful and caring attitude throughout your stay.

Welcome to Cheriton House in Cambridgeshire. Award winning Cheriton House is a lovely Victorian building. The House has a very large garden with two ponds and the barn adjoining the house, overlooking the rear garden, has been converted into 3 very attractive en-suite bedrooms

Houghton Meadow closeby (just 200 yards from our front door) is 20 acres of meadow, now carpeted by grassland which includes plants like green-winged orchid, yellow rattle, salad burnet and pepper saxifrage. Explore the Ouse Valley Way and over 26 miles of riverside walks with 6 itineraries/maps, varying from 2 miles upwards. Visit the thicket, a 500 metre long steep bank of ash, field maple woodland and home to a variety of native woodland animals and plants

Cambridge is a delight to visit in any season: relax in its many pubs, restaurants and cafes whilst exploring the independent shops around the historic market place. There are brand new shopping areas too, with all the high street favourites that you would expect. Be inspired by the museums and art galleries; spot the stars of the future at a student theatrical production, or see a show at the Arts Theatre

Film, live music of all kinds, poetry readings, public lectures - enter into the intellectual life of the students while you are here. Cambridge is easy to get to by road, rail or air ? just 50 minutes from central London and 20 minutes from London Stansted Airport. An extensive breakfast menu, all cooked to order and with home made cakes on arrival, locally sourced breakfast ingredients, home made breads, jams, marmalades etc

We have an extensive a la carte breakfast menu included in the room rate which you are welcome to enjoy in our breakfast room or on one of the patios overlooking the garden on a sunny day! Enjoy our own home made jams and marmalades and home made breads (the wholemeal flour we normally use is milled at Houghton Mill 100 yards from us). As well as a large traditional full English breakfast or variations on that, we have a range of omelettes,scrambled eggs and smoked salmon,steak and eggs.
