Accommodation
Description:
Voted Bed & Breakfast of the Year 2006 and winner at the recent Visit Chester & Cheshire Awards. Somewhere special in the Peak National Park, 4 miles from Macclesfield lies an historic 17th century farm, offering luxurious en suite bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodation.
Harrop Fold is set within its own 20 acres of land and visitors are welcome to walk along the many footpaths that cross the property. A footpath from the door reaches the Gritstone Trail. There are two lovely brooks - Mellow Brook and Harrop Brook, which are visited by a great variety of wildlife, and there is a huge diversity of bird life to be seen around the farm.
Harrop Fold Farm is a smallholding nestling in a wooded gritstone valley on the western side of the Peak District National Park and has magnificent views over the Cheshire Plain to the Welsh Mountains. It has a courtyard of attractive traditional stone buildings that are of architectural and archaeological interest and there is evidence of a Roman road passing through. Archives also suggest a tannery at Harrop Fold Farm was used by Bonnie Prince Charlie as he made his way to Derby to attempt to seize the English crown.
Please Note: We are a No-Smoking property. Only guide dogs permitted. Check-In time: 15:00 and Check-Out time: 10:00.
