The Kings Head Hotel, a 15th century coaching inn, is an idyllic community based pub set in the rural and tranquil setting of Five Lanes, Altarnun. It is ideally situated for touring the Western Cornish Peninsula, Bodmin Moor and both North and South Cornwall and lies within easy reach of most of Cornwalls attractions such as The Eden Project. We offer an extensive restaurant menu that features excellent home cooked dishes produced and sourced from Cornish produce, coupled with a wine list and some of Cornwalls award winning real ales. Most weekends throughout the year we feature live entertainment which when coupled with the warm and friendly atmosphere make for a very pleasant stay. All our rooms are of a reasonable size and most have views of Bodmin Moor. Each room has a wash basin, hospitaility tray and television and all are located very close to a seperate bathroom, shower room and toilet. Breakfast is included in the cost of all our rooms and consists of tea and coffee, cereal and a full English cooked breakfast and is served at 9am unless otherwise arranged.Lunch and evening meals are available at the following times on site but are an additional cost to the room.Tuesday - Saturday 12 noon - 2.30pm and 6pm - 8.30pmSunday 12noon - 3pm Carvery onlyFor resisdents we offer a reduced menu on Sunday evenings and Mondays - please ask for deails on arrivalAltarnun is an attractive village that nestles in a sheltered valley on the north -eastern edge of Bodmin Moor, just off of the A30. It has a picturesque bridge over stream postcard look, and the village is dominated by the tower of the 15th Century church of St Nonnas, which was known as The Cathedral of the Moor
