Cambridge House is a very high standard small friendly family owned by Debbie and Dave the house built in the traditional Lakeland style in 1873 is a victorian house with many original features. We take great pride in our warm friendly atmosphere and extra tasty home-cooked breakfast which give our guests that home from home feel. We have a large breakfast menu including of course a traditional english breakfast vegetarians catered for

Every effort will be made to ensure your trip is a pleasurable one from tips on places to visit free use of local maps walks cycle routes and much more. Each room is comfortably and charmingly decorated and offer the essential comforts of home such as ensuite facilities colour television all rooms have satellite TV DVDCD player and complimentary use of DVD and CD library radio alarms hairdryer hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries. We're just a minutes walk from all restaurants and shops in Windermere and only five minutes walk from the railwaycoach station

Also Lake Windermere is only a pleasant 15 minute stroll away guests staying two nights or more can enjoy free use of the nearby Leisure Facilities of Parklands Country Club (approx 1 mile away). Please note no Hen or stag parties Cambridge House is gay friendly we do not have a manned reception please provide an accurate arrival time on booking to ensure that you are greeted on arrival without delay. Smoking and pets strictly not allowed

We debit the first night as a non refundable deposit from card details provided. In the event of a cancellation the full amount will be payable a refund will be given for the nights we are able to re-let (less the first night) . Please note we do not accept card payments at the time of stay sorry no children under 10 years of age

Directions:
Take M6 junction 36 and the A590 and A591 to Windermere. At Windermere turn left (signed Town Centre) and follow the road through the town. Oak Street is a left turn off this road.
