We are ideally situated within easy walking distance of the villages of Windermere and Bowness on Windermere and with ferry access to Ambleside and Lakes end. The area is a true walkers dream

Walks ranging from ambling strolls to longer, scenic fell walks commence on our doorstep. Local attractions nearby include the recently refurbished ?World of Beatrix Potter?, Steam boat museum and Wordsworth Rydal Mount and Dove Cottage, at nearby Grasmere. Crompton House Bed and Breakfast Guest House is a strictly Non-Smoking Guest House retaining lots of Victorian character

The warm friendly atmosphere creates a relaxed and homely feel. Included in our charming Cumbria Bed and Breakfast are free car parking and internet access. Windermere and Bowness on Windermere also offer a fantastic selection of restaurants and bars to suite all palates and purses

There is free parking available on site but it is not always guaranteed, however there is plenty of free parking in the surrounding area. Free internet access (Wi-Fi) is also available and guests are entitled to free use of the leisure facilities at a nearby Country Club in Bowness. All in all, Windermere provides an ideal short break, but don?t just take our word for it; come and see for yourself!

Directions:
M6 North and South|Road|15.8|Travelling from the north, leave the M6 at Shap, Junction 38, and follow the signs for Kendal and then Windermere. Travelling from the south, leave the M6 at South Lakes, Junction 36, and follow the signs for Windermere. Upon reaching Windermere, follow the main road to Bowness and the Lake. We are approximately 100 yards past the clock monument and the modern built church on the left hand side of the road.
