Beckfoot Country House is a family run, luxury bed and breakfast, holiday accommodation in the Lowther Valley (Cumbria, England) a beautiful quiet peaceful and un-spoilt corner of the Lake District National Park. All rooms are en-suite as standard with at least 5 double beds. Three of our rooms now have 6 double beds

We also have twin bed options and a ground floor annex room. We are pet friendly, children friendly, walker friendly, biker and cycle friendly with plenty of secure off road parking. Quiet and secluded set in good walking country, we have 3 acres of grounds including a paddock and small wood leading out onto the surrounding fells

We are a handy stop off point when traveling to or from Scotland.

Directions:
FROM THE NORTHLeave M6 at junction 40 take second exit (A66) East (Scotch Corner) travel for one mile along dual carriageway. At next roundabout take fourth exit (A6) South (Shap). Travel for 12 mile through traffic lights and over bridge and take the next right turn at the Bee Hive pub (also Crown Hotel) signposted to Pooley Bridge. Travel for one mile and take next left hand fork towards Askham. Stay on this road and drive through Askham and Helton (Do not turn right into village of Helton stay on the main road). Travel on for a further mile and after going down a hill and over a small bridge Beckfoot will be on your right.Distance from Junction 40 to Beckfoot 6.5 miles FROM THE SOUTHLeave M6 at junction 39 and join the A6 North bound to Shap. Go through Shap and just as you get to the redundant garage on the right (Before the railway bridge) take a left turn signposted to Bampton and Haweswater. Stay on this road and go through Bampton Grange over bridge and bear right to Bampton and carry on to Butterwick. Beckfoot is a further 12 mile on the left.Distance from Junction 39 to Beckfoot 6.5 miles
