The Royal Oak is a small family run Inn with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and enjoys a busy life all year round. Situated in the very heart of Bowness on Windermere. The Royal Oak is literally a stones throw from the Bowness bay piers, Lake Windermere and only a few minutes walk from the many traditional craft and gift shops

Our double en-suite rooms are of different sizes, some larger then others, our two single rooms have a shared bathroom but all of them, without exception, are very comfortable, traditional and homely, renowned for our full English breakfast and hospitality. All have central heating, tea and coffee making facilities, colour television and of course a bed.
