From: £30.00 Holly-Wood is a charming, quietly situated family owned Guest House ideally positioned just a few minutes walk from Windermere Village centre in the heart of the Lake District. Bowness-on-Windermere, with its boat rides and numerous specialist arts and craft shops, restaurants, cafes and inns is a short stroll down the hill. The house is a beautiful late Victorian villa built 1897 and still retains some original features, a family run guest house offering stylish and secluded accommodation, with friendly service and a warm welcome in the heart of the beautiful Lake District the back drop to the recent Miss Potter film, and home to The Swallows and Amazon books The M6 motorway is just 16 miles away and the main London Glasgow railway line has a stop off at Kendal Oxenholme station where you can catch the local connection 18 to 20 minutes to Windermere station.Strictly non-smoking through-out, we are sorry we are unable to accommodate pets. We welcome children from 10 years old Holly-Wood has its own small car park at the rear of the property. Guests will love our hearty breakfasts, both traditional and vegetarian, which are served in our spacious dining room between 8.30 and 9 30 am. We have a minimum 2 night booking for Weeekends (Friday Saturday Sunday) and a minimum 3 night booking for Bank Holidays. When booking a 25% deposit will be taken which is non-fundable, please also see cancellation policy Arrival times must accompany all bookings. Rooms will be ready for occupation from 2.00 pm on the day of arrival, arrivals can be any time from 11.00am to 3.00pm or after 5 00pm and prior to 9.00pm.
