Brownber Hall Country House is a quiet retreat offering excellent AA 4-star guest accommodation. It is the only accommodation in the area with a lift. Guests are assured of a warm welcome and a peaceful and relaxing stay

The hall is set amid beautiful rolling countryside near the village of Newbiggin-on-Lune in Cumbria. It is well away from the nearest main road with off-road parking available. Brownber Hall is not licensed to sell alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own

We do not have a restaurant but will provide meals by arrangement. There are pub restaurants in the nearby village of Ravenstonedale.Brownber Hall enjoys a unique and wonderful location

Directions:
From M6 J 38 (Tebay)Follow the A685 east towards Kirkby Stephen. After about 5 miles at the sign for the start of the village of Newbiggin On Lune turn left (signposted Gt Asby). The drive leading to Brownber Hall Country House is the third drive on the right a short way up this road. Brownber Hall is signposted at the start of the drive. GO THROUGH THE BROWNBER HALL LODGE GATES (some GPS systems try to take you further up the hill) pass the lodge immediately on the left and follow the road round. Pass a second house on the left as the road bends to the right. Brownber Hall is raised high on the left of the lane. The gates to the hall are just past the hall and require a sharp turn back on yourself to the left. Parking is available at either end of the buildingFrom the A1Take the A66 west from Scotch corner to Brough. Turn south at Brough on the A685. Follow the A685 through Kirkby Stephen. About 5 miles past Kirkby Stephen is the village of Newbiggin-on-Lune. Continue through the village on the A685. As you leave the village you will see a road to the right level with a bollard in the centre of the road signposted to Kelleth and Gt Asby. Take this right turn. The drive leading to Brownber Hall Country House is the third drive on the right a short way up this road.
