It is a mere minutes walk from the shores of Derwentwater and just over 1 mile from the market town of Keswick.The property which opened in July 2007 has undergone total refurbishment both externally and internally and now offers 21st century facilities within the original stone building.From our slightly elevated position, you can enjoy stunning views of Skiddaw, Cat Bells and beautiful Derwentwater The Queen of the lakes

There is plentiful parking within our grounds for all guests cars as well as provision for cycles. Locked overnight cycle storage for guests on cycling holidays can be made available.Derwent Lodge is Non Smoking throughout



For dining, you'll be just a 5 minute walk from the River Thames, with its fantastic views and river-boat restaurants. Equally nearby are many famous traditional English pubs serving delicious hot meals. Hanover Hotel can book upon request tickets for the local theatres, such as the Victoria Palace Theatre and The Apollo Theatre - both within walking distance

For those who like shopping, Hanover Hotel is near Victoria Street with its new shopping centre complex plus army and navy department Stores. The Hanover Hotel also provides Left Luggage service for the same day or for those who wish to go out of London for anywhere up to a week. The reception is open 24-hours a day, all year round

Directions:
From the M6 motorway take the Penrith junction(Junction 40) and head towards Keswick on the A66 trunk road for about 15 miles.The turning for Portinscale is about 1 mile after the Keswick roundabout so continue on the A66 until you see the turning on the left signposted to Portinscale and Grange.Continue through the village of Portinscale for about half a mile and the Derwent Lodge Hotel is situated on the right hand side of the road opposite the Derwentwater Marina.
